The tablet that has absolutely attacked the market for 7 “, finally bringing into vogue, it was unquestionably the economic Nexus 7, which compared with a relatively low cost of hardware contents boasted a some relief.

History seems to repeat itself with the new Nexus 7 that Google might submit in the coming days. Within a diagonal of 7 “we will have a resolution beyond the FullHD of 1920×1200 with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and pixel density of 320 PPI . It is a commendable result largely on the tablet front, especially on the price range given by the Mountain View giant.

The hardware will be shared with the Nexus 4: The new tablet will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 SoC Pro with quad-core 1.5GHz CPU. The first rumors about a possible increase in the RAM up to 4GB have been unhinged by the new benchmark appeared on Android Police: Nexus 7 will in fact “only” 2GB of RAM, still enough to use even not really moderate your device.

The code name of the product is Razor (the previous model was called Nakasi), while the ID of the logic board is Flo (Grouper for the past model ). The Android version is installed 4.3 (build JWR66N) . The latency issues regarding the audio does not seem to have been resolved with the new version of Android, although we can attend a general improvement: 80-90ms has passed with 4.3 to about 40ms, but for professional applications you have to go below 10ms.

Let the benchmark: AnTuTu (which measures the performance with regard to the speed of processor, storage, memory and GPU) shows a result that varies around 19/20.000 points , slightly higher than the Nexus 4 current and in line with other proposals with S4 Pro

The results with Quadrant seem a bit more interesting and show a result of 5501 for the new Nexus 7, significantly higher than recorded by the Nexus 4, that is 4,200 points. In this test the proposals equipped with the Qualcomm chip latest results fail to score above 10000 points.

To calculate only the graphics performance has been used 3DMark (which uses OpenGL ES 2.0) mode at 1080p “Extreme”. The result is 7,188 , with an average of frame that is around 30FPS. The Nexus 4 shows a result of 6,300 points, while HTC One offers performance only slightly higher, since Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro and 600 use the same GPU, the Adreno 320.

The device will be officially announced tomorrow probably, in the bottom of the article we present all the photographs on the site Android Police for carrying out various tests.
