The Google Glass could cost as much as a Nexus - Everything Android

Into glass-clearshade-isometric-thumb

Into know very well that the Google Glass is one of the most expensive gadgets, and sapiamo just as well that for now it is still developing as provided only to developers in the U.S.. The aim of course is to prepare the Google Glass to retail, that surely there will be in the Play Store and, we hope, also by means of physical stores and online.

Into The question, however, remains the same since Google has made available those 1,000 units of Google Glass Explorer Edition to developers for a price of $ 1500 : the cost to the public? Up to now it was not possible to support either hypothesis in this regard, as they do not had the necessary information to do so.

Now, however, things are slightly different. A couple of days ago we published an article in which we showed you a gallery of fewer than 58 pictures depicting the disassembly of the Google Glass , and we have acquired a lot of interesting information.Into The Google Glass has on board a TI OMAP 4430 processor (the same used in Motorola Razr), Elpida RAM, display resolution 640 × 360 pixels, 5 megapixel camera, battery 570 mAh , 16 GB of internal memory (Sandisk), audio bone conduction sensor, proximity sensor and other sensors are known.

Into The Google Glass , therefore, has a hardware which when installed on a smartphone, the latter would not reasonably to be offered at a price too high, indeed. If you make the sum of the cost of the individual components of the internal Glass and considering the costs of production eyewear intelligent Google would come to cost about $ 200 , which would make this device easily accessible to all.

Into For this reason, also considering various other factors that will surely raise the price, the Google Glass could ultimately cost as much as a Nexus 4 sold on Play Store to $ 350 . Of course, we hope.
