many in the past few days we have asked for advice regarding the purchase of the Zopo ZP998 that, although it is an excellent terminal, it still has something that perhaps should be improved and revised. In any case, we wanted to make a versus between the ZP998 and the Nexus 5 which was always the second protagonist of your questions, considering the selling price of the two devices is different from a few tens of Euros.

Hardware
Leaving aside the details of the sales package of the two devices that offer basically the same things (charger, usb cable and headphones, only on ZOPO), we should mention the appearance hardware and, consequently, performance. The two devices are very different from each other: one integrates a fact Octa-Core Processor Mediatek , but the other one Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core that, despite being ” technically inferior, “is able to offer excellent performance.

Display
As we said earlier
smartphones on this aspect differ totally , especially in size. We on Zopo a display of well 5.5 “inch FullHD resolution and pixel density of 441ppi , while the Nexus 5 there is a panel easier to handle, since the dimensions are equal to 4.95 “with a resolution FullHD and a slightly higher pixel density, 445ppi .
The definition is really good on both color rendition and did not present any kind of problem or color “dull”: Pixels are virtually invisible, except on Zopo that, if placed very close to the eye, a glimpse ( of course) a few pixels. The angle of vision, and finally, it is excellent both on Zopo that on the Nexus .
Multimedia
Here the situation is quite complicated and has to be analyzed with pliers: we are, in fact, faced with two very different products with each other and that “technically inferior” manages to give hard time to his superior. Let’s talk about Nexus 5 , thanks to its Snapdragon 800 and his excellent optimization, manages to keep up with (and prevail) on the ZP998.
Mediatek, in fact, are known for a good battery performance but not always at the top: in any case the Zopo ZP998 is able to run applications quite heavy, such as the usual GT Racing 2 , without any kind of problem. It differs, of course, the Nexus 5 in the fact that optimization is definitely an advantage.
Having said that though, the two devices are both capable of playing Full HD movies without slowing down and run the most demanding applications of risore. The appearance of the speaker, then, is considerably higher on Zopo, partly because we used an early version of Nexus 5 which seems to be suffering from the “flaw” in the audio .

As you can see above the yield of the camera is quite different for the two smartphones. Although, in fact, on Zopo has been fitted with a 13 megapixel camera well , the result is not the best when then need to be put in practice the quality: the colors are too ” hot “and the photo, accordingly, is not very responsive to reality.

Conclusion
Although the two devices are very similar between them, there will always be something that leads us to prefer the ZP998 Nexus 5 . In our opinion, although the two smartphones is also much resemble in appearance relative to performance, it is better to buy a device that, with time, will always be supported by various fixes and updates, as you well know, technology is always a ” must-have. “
