Ubuntu on mobile phone is the dream of many of the ‘geeks’, but it is getting closer to reality. Some products are already on the market with a dowry of the Linux operating system from Canonical, but this year should be to blast Ubuntu on mobile phones in the world, with many ongoing negotiations with manufacturers and operators.
The system is the same one that runs on the PC, but the graphics drivers for specific mobile devices and touch interface makes it in effect a mobile operating system. We met them in the halls of Mobile World Congress 2014:
