Nexus 7 2012 3G receives OTA Android 4.4 KitKat (driving) - Everything Android

After Nexus 4 and Nexus LTE 7 2013 , is starting to receive the Android 4.4 OTA KitKat also Nexus 7 2013 3G . The update is coming during these minutes on some devices and during the course of the next few days the roll-out will be complete.

Nexus 7 is then updated to the new build KRT16S introduced by Google because of an encryption problem, which we told you about in detail in our previous article.

To check if your Nexus 7 2012 3G detects the presence of the upgrade, you can go to Settings -> About tablet -> System updates and click on the “Check Now “. In the event that was not detected the presence of any update, you can wait a few hours or a few days affiche Android 4.4 comes even on your Nexus 7 .

If you’re impatient and want to manually update now, you can download the file (for now is the only one but others will be provided) build:

  • KRT16S OTA downloads from KRT16O
  • KRT16S OTA downloads from JWR66Y

As you can see, you can update if and only if the 3G Nexus 7 on board the build KRT16O . But, again, just for now as they will be also published other files OTA for other builds of the system.
