HTC denies the project HTC One "Nexus edition" - HDblog (Blog)

The news of the next marketing of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus S4 version , with updates that are sent directly from Google without customizations and software from the manufacturer, was made official at Google I / 0 2013.

News that did not fail to impress the audience that follows with interest the events of the Android operating system, arrived quite unexpectedly, without being heralded by rumor and leaks that were going in different directions (see es. Nexus LTE 4, new Nexus 7, etc.).

Lawful wonder if HTC decides to follow in the footsteps of its main competitor, presenting, in collaboration with Google, a “Nexus” HTC One. A question to which, for the moment, the vertices of HTC responded by denying any plans to do so.

A spokesman for HTC made it clear, without any possibility of misunderstanding:

Into HTC has no plans at the moment, a “Nexus Edition” of HTC One

The speculations regarding the possibility that HTC will introduce HTC Nexus One version has been disseminated immediately after the presentation of the Samsung GS4 “Nexus Edition”. Speculations born on the basis of the interpretations of a tweet Jet Leigh, a member of the team that HTC has released the following message

Into So, you can pay $ 649 for a piece of plastic (Android) stock … or you can wait

Interpretations obviously incorrect, as officially confirmed by HTC.

In concrete terms little change even in the absence of an HTC Nexus One version regarding users who have chosen the top range of HTC Android. Users, on the one hand, they give some difficulty with the Sense UI 5.0 and the other can count on an extensive set of custom ROM that lets you test very easily the stock version of the Android operating system (see the various projects CyanogenMod 10.1, AOSP and AOKP).

The assessment of each can, at least, be made on the level of “prestige” given to a company by the production of terminal Nexus and on the soundness of the relationship between Samsung and Google, which, evidently, has not yet elected to renew confidence in the Taiwanese manufacturer, after marketing the first terminal Nexus (Nexus One), its product from HTC.
