Amazon Kindle Fire 10.1 as Nexus 10: high resolution coming up ... - International Business Times Italy

In a year

Amazon, the online retailer, has gone from the first 7-inch Kindle Fire (November 2011) to 8.9 inches of the second generation (September 2012). It seems that now the company is evaluating the possibility of a third iteration with 10.1-inch screen . A CNET is reporting the rumor, which refers to NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim for the information received.

Into According to what was said by Shim, the intention of Amazon is to project your tablet to the highest resolution achieved so far on the market: 2560 x 1600, 300 ppi . This is the same resolution as the Nexus 10 Google Samsung ; would not be surprising then that the company led by Jeff Bezos can do rely just on the South Korean manufacturer for the display. This objective does not include, however, the only possible new Kindle Fire 10.1, but also the previous versions: Amazon plans a renewal of the individual displays, bringing them all to 300 ppi density.

Into Shim pointed out that the screen production of the new tablet should start during the third quarter.

Into As shown in the latest recordings published by International Data Corporation (IDC), in the first quarter of this year Amazon has sold 1.8 million tablets, representing about 3.7% of the market of this first part of 2013. In comparison, Apple sold 19.5 million iPads (39.6%); Samsung , in second place, 8 , 8,000,000 (17.9%).
