CyanogenMod 11 of Nexus 5: our video test - Everything Android

After showing the Beanstalk and the Cataclysm, we continue our video tests ROM on LG Nexus 5, this time with one of the most famous ROM could say for Android devices, we are talking of course of the CyanogenMod 11 based on Android 4.4 KitKat. A few days ago, the team has released the first nightly based on the latest version of Android, as we know it is updated daily ROM, which may change and lead to the introduction of new functionality from one day to ‘another, we tested the version of December 8 based on Android 4.4.1 .

As always, the CyanogenMod does not offer many possibilities for customization, but the right ones and important to have a more or less complete control of your device, such as customizing the Quick Toggles the Extended Desktop mode, the DSP Manager to act on the audio maybe trying to boost the bass and partially make up for the shortcomings of the device, the options on CPU, disk I / O and much more. By conducting a test with Antutu Benchmark we have seen an increase in performance compared to Android Stock, while for the battery initially we had some problems, but with the nightly the last few days seem to be completely gone, but hopefully in an increase of this’ last with the next releases.

We leave our video test, inviting as ever to propose the ROM that you would like to see on this device that eventually we will be happy to test.

Small personal consideration : Some say that the Nexus are born to modding, I believe that Google devices can be used safely with the Stock ROM of the Mountain View giant, but in doing so you lose the ability to exploit the hidden potential of our smartphones and, last but not least, fun to try different configurations.

Please note that if you wish to install the CM11 on your device you can just click on that link back to our forum, at the bottom of the article.
