Even in the Galaxy Nexus will have Android 4.4 ROM thanks to ... - Gizmodo Italy

Remember the Galaxy Nexus? It was the direct result of collaboration between Samsung and Google and came on the market just two years ago, the first smartphone to run immediately with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Since then, the phone has always received them promptly updates, as well as all other smartphones Google came out later.

The company, however, has announced that the Galaxy Nexus updates stop there, nothing KitKat. What to do? Who has not wanted to give up a decent phone again, he had to opt for the ROM developed by others that so far have not proved stable. But things are about to change because it has just been released a ROM Galaxy Nexus Android 4.4 built from AOSP stable.

As reported by Ubergizmo, the 11 customized CyanogenMod ROM Android 4.4 for Galaxy Nexus KitKat is stable and everything works as expected. Too bad it’s still in Beta because of some characteristics CyanogenMod is not yet working. The ROM and installation instructions are available on XDA. As recalled by Ubergizmo, and how we will always remember, the usual caveats apply: Before downloading the ROM and groped to install it, make sure you understand what you are doing. As a stable, there is always a degree of risk.
