In Purchasing Guide for the Last Minute Christmas 2013 we are talking about Lg Nexus 5 , the first Nexus smartphone that is sold directly from Google also on the Italian territory .

Let’s say that for the price range for which it is offered (350-400 EUR) is definitely one of the best choices you can make. Most of the features are very good, although there are a couple of items that are not so convincing.

Let’s start with the latter. The battery is not removable and it is not as good as it Samsung Galaxy S4 (2300 mAh versus 2600). Autonomy as a whole is not much less than the Galaxy, though we would have preferred to have a device even thicker than 1 mm but with a larger battery. Second point: the internal memory , which reaches a maximum of 32 GB, is not expandable with microSD cards.

There would be a third element unsatisfactory, but which for the moment has been improved (and in the future it will be even). We’re talking about camera , which since the last update Android has received a refreshed and decided that it is now more responsive, even in photos taken with the hand just stops.

other aspects of the phone we liked. It starts from the Android software, which is lightweight thanks to the absence of custom interfaces that are usually added by other manufacturers (Samsung TouchWiz, LG Optimus, etc.) and ensure that at least 2 years of always being the first to rivecere the updates.

The screen has a diagonal of 5 inches and is bright and able to return very good colors. The internal processor is very powerful (we’re talking 800 Snapdragon quad core) and 2 GB of RAM to support. The main camera, which is also equipped with optical image stabilizer (OIS) has a resolution of 8 megapixels. There is also the connectivity to the 4G LTE network.

For a discussion on the phone, we recommend reading “LG Nexus 5: Everything to Know Before the Purchase.”

WHY ‘BUY
• gorgeous screen 5-inch
• software updates guaranteed for 2 years
• processing power at the top
• attractive price

WHY ‘NO
• battery not replaceable and not sensational
• camera • memory improve
non-expandable

guides for last minute purchases do not end there. In the following pages there will be room for Galaxy Note, Xperia Z, S4 Mini, etc.. … CONTINUE
